I have been doing the brain numbling task of commenting on blogs to get some backlinks to my site www.carpetcleanersonline.com.
Although this is a little easier and it uses a really good plugin to help the blog owner approve your comment as a good one and one that is helping their site as apposed to the usual one line comment such as “great site” etc.
Anyway, have a look through this video it shows the process I use to place comments on blogs using the “keywordLuv” plugin.
You see, the keywordluv plugin gives a dofollow backlink to your website if the comment you offer to the webmasters blog is useful to them.

This is a good video on backlinks and comments. I use the same type of plugins on my site to change it up a little. Comments provide new refresh content to a site.

@Art @ Carpet Indoor Outdoor: Hi Art, The wordpress platform is the best way to build your backlinks at the moment. As you probably know Google changes stuff around but for now this works. I have some great videos on backlinking coming up soon.

@keith peters: HI Keith, I remember being one of the only Pom’s in a sydney suberb years ago, man did I get the P***** taken out of me. I love the Aussie style though. Listen, You can easily dominate the search engines in your area. I will show you how. I have done it for many of my companies and continue to do so even in the light of huge competition.

Thank you for these tips. I have been cleaning carpet for 17 years now and need to get my new site some backlinks. Seems to be the way to advertise these day, especially in California. This information was helpful.
